This piece was made for my Advanced Drawing & Painting II class, as part of a series of self-portraits.

This is the second installment in the series. Whereas the first piece was meant to mirror the opening moves in a game of chess, this portrait reflects progress within the match. I used green and yellow tones are used to reflect the ideas of patience and opportunism, both necessary skills in strategizing your next move.
