Endgame

32” x 30”
Chalk pastel, Charcoal, Paper
9/22/2013

This piece was made for my Advanced Drawing & Painting II class, as part of a series of self-portraits.

This is the third and final installment of my self-portrait series, portraying the end of the match. I wanted to show a culmination of defeat in the story and create diversity in the colors throughout the series. I chose blue and purple to reflect this, creating a sense of melancholy. I changed the composition to keep in line with this story, pointing downward to speak to loss.
