I take a lot of inspiration from Japanese pottery, which focuses on simple and delicate shapes that serve a purpose. I wanted to create a sake set to explore these forms, as well as to challenge myself to replicate them across the set of cups. I sketched my forms and used measurements to make sure each cup was as identical as possible to the other.
